Federation Science Day
What an amazing day we had at Federation Science Day!
The children had the incredible opportunity to dive deep into hands-on workshops, getting up close and personal with a variety of animals. They had the opportunity to have an extra forest school session, learning about camouflage, and participated in exciting science workshops that sparked curiosity and creativity. It was truly a day of learning, fun, and discovery!
A highlight of the day was the chance to bring together all three schools in our Federation—Dunton Green, St. Edmund’s, and St. Paul’s. It was wonderful to see the children meet up with old friends and make new ones. One particularly heartwarming moment was when a Year 1 child walked hand in hand with another from St. Edmund’s. When I asked how they knew each other, they smiled and said they had just met that day and found they had so much in common. It was such a lovely reminder of the power of friendship and shared experiences.
A huge thank you to all of our dedicated teachers and teaching assistants for their hard work in running the workshops and supporting the children throughout the day.
We’d also like to express our sincere gratitude to St. Edmund’s for hosting the event and to Mrs. Norsworthy for organising everything so beautifully. The day went off without a hitch and we are so thankful for all the planning that went into it.
Finally, a big thank you to all the parents for getting your children there and for your understanding, especially when the pick-up traffic caused some delays. We know it was a bit of an inconvenience, but we truly appreciate the effort you made to ensure your children could flourish. Your support is invaluable!
